FUND OBJECTIVE

To achieve asset growth through investments in a well-diversified portfolio of emerging markets equities.

REASONS TO RECOMMEND

TRIED AND TESTED TOP-DOWN APPROACH
Approximately 70% of the decision making in the Fund’s investment process is based on top down analysis. This approach is used to determine the countries and sectors the manager believes are most likely to generate the highest expected returns.

GLOBAL RESEARCH PLATFORM
The manager’s research structure allows it to capitalise on global macroeconomic trends and cross-country securities analysis, and seek to increase chances of achieving excess returns in a variety of market environments.

PORTFOLIO DIVERSIFICATION
Owing to the top down investment process and expertise, the strategy can provide particular diversification benefits to client portfolios.

CONSISTENT APPLICATION
The manager has consistently applied its proprietary top down investment process since inception of the strategy, and believes this experience has shown it can achieve its objectives across a variety of market conditions.

INVESTMENT POLICY COMMITTEE (IPC) TENURE AND STABILITY
Two of the IPC members have worked together at Fisher Investments for over 32 years and all four average 28 years of investment industry experience.

WHAT YOUR CLIENTS CAN EXPECT

The fund aims to achieve asset growth through investment in securities of issuers in emerging markets, or of issuers established outside of emerging markets that have a predominant proportion of their assets or operations in emerging markets. Investors should be aware that developing markets may be subject to higher liquidity and volatility risks.
