OLD MUTUAL GLOBAL INVESTORS’ AWARD WINNING FORM CONTINUES THE COMPANY SCOOPS THREE AWARDS AT THE UK 2014 LIPPER FUND AWARDS

Old Mutual Global Investors was delighted to collect three awards at the UK Lipper Fund Awards which took place in London in March.  The Old Mutual Global Equity Fund won Best Fund over 3 and 5 years in the Equity Global Category and the Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies Focus Fund was awarded Best Fund over 10 years in the Equity UK Small and Mid Caps category.

Managed by Ian Heslop, Amadeo Alentorn and Mike Servent, The Old Mutual Global Equity Fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth through the active management of a diversified portfolio invested primarily in a broad range of global equities.  The Fund has remained in the top 10% of funds in the IMA Global Sector over 1, 2, 3 and 5 years and has outperformed its sector average and the MSCI World Benchmark over 1, 3 and 5 years (*3):

The Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies Focus Fund was launched in January 2002 and has been managed by Daniel Nickols since January 2009.  This Fund aims to provide capital growth by investing primarily in an equity portfolio of UK smaller companies.  The Fund mirrors the strategy of the Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies Fund.  The Fund has also outperformed its IMA Sector average 1, 3, 5 and 10 years (the IMA UK Smaller Companies Sector) and the Numis Smaller Companies ex ITs index over 1, 3  and 10 years. Lipper Awards:

The Lipper Fund Awards are a great accolade as they recognise consistent risk-adjusted performance.  Lipper applies a stringent approach to analyzing the funds that meet their criteria.  The highest Lipper Leader for Consistent Return (Effective Return) value within each eligible classification determines the fund classification winner over three, five, or ten years.  The Funds must have at least 36 months of performance history as of the end of the calendar year of the respective evaluation year.
