OMGI strengthens Asian Equities team


Appointment of Oliver Lee as Investment Director

Old Mutual Global Investors has today announced that Oliver Lee has joined its Asian Equities team in Hong Kong as Investment Director for Asian Equities. 

Oliver, who joined the business on Monday 14 September, will boost the capability of the Old Mutual Asian Equities team. He will work alongside investment professionals Josh Crabb, Diamond Lee, Kris Whitlock and Dmitry Lapidus to ensure the funds continue to meet the evolving demands of investors.

The team received regulatory approval to operate from Hong Kong in April 2015. They manage three funds from the region, the Old Mutual Asian Equity Income Fund and the Old Mutual Pacific Equity Fund both run by Josh Crabb, and the Old Mutual Greater China Equity Fund run by Diamond Lee. All three funds are sub funds of the Dublin domiciled Old Mutual Global Investors Series plc.

Oliver joins Old Mutual Global Investors from Schroder Investment Management, where he worked in their alternative strategies group. Prior to this he worked for four years at Sloane Robinson, the Asian and emerging market equity boutique. He joined Sloane Robinson from Goldman Sachs where he spent two years in the equities division. Oliver started his career at UBS in 2000, working in both the London and Zurich offices.
