We launched our internship is designed to attract ambitious, driven people like you who desire something different and want to get hands on investment experience. We offer a holistic programme which provides exposure to talented investment professionals whilst focusing on your personal development.
Old Mutual Global Investors launched its Internship programme in 2013. The programme was designed to attract ambitious, driven individuals who desired something different from their internship experience. We have achieved this over the last four years by offering a holistic programme which provides exposure to our business and its talented investment professionals, whilst providing opportunity to learn and grow as individuals.
In 2017, we offered six placements in our London office; five with our investment desks and one with our distribution team. We also had an investment desk opportunity in our Hong Kong office. For further details regarding the placements please refer to what to expect.
Throughout your internship you will be mentored by an individual from within your team. As well as providing regular, constructive feedback you will be exposed to all areas of the business via our intensive induction programme. By the end of your internship you will have gained a deep understanding of how our business operates. You will also have opportunity to participate in a collective project that will seek to develop your team management, organisational and presentation skills.
We look for candidates who have a genuine passion and interest in the financial markets. Each placement has different skills and experience required, so please read through the job adverts carefully to ensure you apply for the most suitable role. Once you have completed this internship, you will be invited to join the OMGI Internship alumni. This will provide future networking events to keep you up-to-date with what’s going on at OMGI and will enable you to maintain contacts you have established during your programme.
